CSA’s Online Training Curriculum

Citizens Safety Academy is a firearm safety school located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Our instructors conduct firearms training courses several times a month, and we host guest instructors as well. CSA’s lead instructors also occasionally travel to conduct itinerant training in other states.

In 2019, the State of Tennessee passed a new law creating a two-tiered handgun carry permit system. Under the new law (effective January 1, 2020), the Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit still requires eight hours of in-person training, but the new “mini-permit” creates a second category that allows permit holders get their training online. To accommodate this new market, we created the CSA Online Training Hub.

We still offer our traditional in-person training, and we strongly recommend in-person training for anyone who wishes to carry a handgun. However, our mission is to provide high-quality firearm safety instruction to as many law-abiding citizens as possible – even if they can’t commute to our in-person classes.
