Defensive Holster Overview

Many states require basic firearms training to get a handgun carry permit. What’s often missing from these courses is any training on how to select, wear, and use a defensive holster safely and effectively. This 90-minute course begins with an overview of essential factors to consider when selecting and fitting a holster for defensive contexts. Then we’ll walk you through what’s called “the presentation.” That’s the standard four-step technique for accessing a holstered handgun in defensive contexts. Finally, the course concludes with a series of video demonstrations to help guide your practice at home or on the range.
